When the design moves, the memo is stale
Token committees love to ship. They hate to re-clear.
A fee switch. A burn. A new sink. A liquidity programme. A points-to-token conversion. An airdrop to users who were told they were users. Each of these can change the fact pattern. The operating rule is that a material change freezes offering-adjacent language until counsel has seen the new facts. Product language may continue. Offering language does not.
Write the change log next to the classification memo. Date. What changed. Who decided. Whether the memo is still relied upon. If the memo is six months old and the token now does three new things, you do not have a classification. You have archaeology.
This is one reason we charge fixed fees, not a share of a raise. The work of keeping classification and campaign aligned is work even when no raise occurs. Especially then. A team that never offers still needs the discipline if they have been talking as if they might.
