A partner stack, not a marketplace of promises · Referrals
Named, scoped, logged — or it did not happen
A referral without a log is a rumour. We record the partner, the client, the status — requested, introduced, closed — and a note that a grown-up can read later. “Scoping a testnet review. Issuer retains Helix directly.” That note is how we avoid a later argument about whether we promised an audit outcome.
Scope is the courtesy. Helix should not receive a founder who actually needs a promotions opinion. Northbridge should not receive a request to “write the litepaper.” Communications should not receive a request to run a sale. The map exists to prevent those misfires. When they happen anyway, we close the referral honestly.
Status closed can mean the issuer hired them, or that they did not. Both are respectable. What we will not do is leave a requested intro hanging so that a partner believes they are about to be paid in inbound. That is how directories rot.
Referral sequence
- 01Issuer agrees the intro is wanted.
- 02Partner agrees the scope is theirs.
- 03Introduction within the stated SLA.
- 04Issuer contracts directly. We are not the statement of work.
- 05Log updated. No folklore about outcomes.
