UK financial promotions and token launches · Incentives

Points, referrals, and other ways to dress a book-build

If the mechanic only works when someone acquires a token, it is not a community game.

The last cycle industrialised the incentive. Points for waiting. Boosts for referring. Multipliers for depositing. Leaderboards that just happen to map onto an allocation. Teams now arrive with the mechanic already designed and ask the house to “make the narrative on-brand.” If the mechanic is a consumer invitation to acquire a token, the narrative cannot save it.

RCA Pad will design community systems. We will not design a retail allocation machine and then put a professional serif on it. The Sprint community plan is about operations: moderation SLA, disclosure, what the server is for, what it is not for, how claims are answered. It is not a points protocol.

Referrals inside a professional network are a different object. A logged intro to Helix Audit is a partner event. A public code that pays strangers in tokens for bringing more strangers is a distribution campaign. If you cannot tell them apart on a slide, counsel will tell them apart for you, later, at a worse price.

Default UK-touching exclusions

  1. 01No public retail purchase journeys initiated by this house.
  2. 02No return claims, APY cousins, or guaranteed allocations.
  3. 03No token compensation to RCA Pad until counsel confirms a lawful structure.
  4. 04No creator incentives that require unsourced performance language.
  5. 05Community waitlists are contact lists, not tickets.

If an issuer later has a lawful promotions route, the register can grow. Growing the register is a dated event with evidence. It is not a founder decision on a Sunday. Until the route exists, we operate as if the consumer path is closed, because for our purposes it is.
