Window 23d · waitlist a short list · our cut 0%. Do the maths.

Pilots are named and redacted. The waitlist is not. a short list people already asked.

Firth — A system of record for private-credit funds and desks: tapes, RFQs, or covenants that update when a borrower files. The buyers already have a book. This is plumbing, not a venue that matches strangers.

Screened, not yet in sprint. Treat every number as provisional. Calendar access is not automatic.

12 live counterparties in the thread. The public page is the overflow.

Diligence, not a prospectus. RCA Pad does not allocate, take orders, or close funding. If this company raises, it raises with its own counsel.

Firth wants to be the record everyone already trusts, without becoming the venue.

Why the desk took it

Early — still a question.

A redacted facility list landed in week one.

Traction

One named pilot (redacted).

Founded 2021, headquartered in Glasgow. One named pilot on file (redacted in public). Desk diligence score 58/100. Four origination desks posting into a closed tape. A dual-control drill exists on paper. We have not watched it live yet — that is the next ask.

Next 12 months

Securities memo on the tape itself — is the record a security? Write it down.

A DeFi lending pool is the opposite company. They sell a fee the customer already pays a slower vendor for. TAM is that invoice, not a token float.

The brief

How a serious reader should hold this.

Glasgow is not a backdrop. It is the jurisdiction where a named customer can be sued, called, and asked a question on a recorded line. Firth chose it for that reason. Counterparties who still think this is a ‘global’ story are already late.

Firth exists because the incumbent brand will not staff the unglamorous middle of Private credit tape. The product is that middle. The token, if it ever exists, is not the product — and is not for sale here. The people in the queue already understood the difference.

A sentence went public and came down in under an hour. Oskar Park treated the kill as an operating skill, not a PR event. Files that cannot do this do not stay listed.

From the pilot

This communication is not an offer. Participation mechanics do not exist on this pad. If a later reader treats the public stack as the offer, the stack was already wrong.

From the founder

We will not describe this as Reg CA-compliant, MiCA-stickered, or FCA-authorised. Issuers retain their own counsel in every relevant jurisdiction.

From ops

US persons are outside the audience. A form that asks “are you accredited?” without verification is not an exemption.

The window

Miss this and you read the archive.

Waiting for a proposed US rule is how you miss a Glasgow buyer who already has budget.

Certification is in motion. After it lands, the price of the seat is not the question — access is.

Open the diligence or watch it close. There is not a third option that still counts as early.

The bet

Why this company exists.

Firth wants to be the record everyone already trusts, without becoming the venue.

Firth wants to be the record everyone already trusts, without becoming the venue.

Allocators want daily marks and covenant visibility. Banks want to originate without building a chain team. The first honest tape that does not pretend to be an exchange will be paid for as software.

Private credit AUM is measured in trillions. The software take-rate is small. The switching cost, once a tape is the record, is not.

Versus the field

L2 wrappers are cheaper. They are also a different perimeter — and declined here. Firth is priced as software against an invoice that already exists.

Named: Glasgow. Off-limits: Public residual claims. A US person hearing an offering communication is a US problem even if the company sits in Glasgow. Blocking an IP and taking a US Telegram admin is not a block.

How it works

  1. 01A loan or covenant event is written once
  2. 02Permissioned counterparties see what they are allowed to see
  3. 03Marks and RFQs stay inside named desks
  4. 04No public order book, no retail
  5. 05Default and amendment events are first-class, not a PDF in a side channel
  6. 06Retail and unnamed geographies are structurally off the form, not only in the footer.

What “in market” actually looks like.

  1. MonClaimsEvery public sentence checked against the register. Anything extra is unpublished.
  2. SatDarkNo creators. No threads. Restricted geos stay dark.
  3. WedCounselPerimeter diffs. If the site drifted from the memo, the site moves — not the memo.

Next twelve months

What has to be true.

Securities memo on the tape itself — is the record a security? Write it down.

A dual-control drill exists on paper. We have not watched it live yet — that is the next ask.

If they raise, it is to hire the remaining certifications and the second market — not to float a coin.

Risks

What can kill it.

The one that actually kills it

Counsel is a slide

Unnamed counsel is how companies die in diligence. Undetermined — not a path has to be a memo you can file, not a slogan on the hero.

Marketplace slip

The moment this looks like a public book, it is a venue. This pad will not list that.

Data rights

Who owns the tape when a fund leaves? If that is unsigned, the enterprise value is a conversation.

Credit cycle

A default cluster will test whether the product is a record or a reputation.

Retail

Retail is prohibited. Any ‘access token’ story is a different company.

Data rights on exit

If a fund leaves and the tape stays, who owns the history? Unsigned, the enterprise value is a conversation.

Path silence

If counsel will not name a path and not-offering is not locked, heated waitlist copy is an accidental offering.

Ask these next

  1. 01Who is the first named paying customer — not a letter of intent?
  2. 02Where do keys, title, or NAV liability sit — and is that person licensed?
  3. 03Has counsel written the perimeter in a memo you can file?
  4. 04Is the waitlist demand for a product, or a queue for a coin?
  5. 05What does renewal look like if no round ever happens?
  6. 06Who can unpublish a public sentence in 24 hours, by name?

Who can decide

The technical founder is on the record as Chief compliance. Contractors in undisclosed jurisdictions are written down as a fact, not hidden. Facts can be managed. Hiding them is how companies die in diligence.

If the first customer renews, the adapter work pays for itself. If they do not, Firth is a services firm with a slide. The twelve-month test is renewal, not waitlist.
