This house is the wrong house — and when it is the right one · Letter
From the London desk, September 2026
We built a public operating system because a brochure cannot carry this boundary. The site has to screen, propose, lock a kick-off, keep a register, and show a fourteen-day pack, or the language is costume. Costume is how pads talk. We are trying not to be a pad that learned some new nouns.
Vol. 01 of these notes is the same attempt in long form. Claims, statutes, the Sprint, the roster, the ledger, the room, the map. Read them as operating files, not as thought leadership. If you save one thing, save the register rule: empty field, not publishable. If you save two, save the fee rule: not a percentage of a raise we do not touch.
The rest is furniture. It is good furniture. It will not make an unlawful campaign lawful, and it will not make this house your counsel. It will make a serious team harder to embarrass. In this market, that is a product.
Apply, or do not. Either way, do not call us a pad. We have spent too many pages on the difference.

The Ledger
Why we charge fixed fees, not a percentage of raise
Transaction-based compensation sits next to activity RCA Pad is not licensed to perform. Fixed fees keep the operating boundary intact — and keep the work useful if there is no raise at all.

The Pack
Inside the 14-day Launch Sprint
What actually gets delivered, what the client must provide, what is deliberately excluded, and why acceptance is a read-out against a pack rather than a fundraising result.

The Statute
Proposed Regulation Crypto Assets: what founders should not assume
A proposed US offering framework is drawing real planning energy. The demand is a fact. The rule title, the timetable and the interpretation are not. Treat the attention as a reason to operationalise a launch. Do not treat a comment period as a pathway.

Controls
A claims register that can survive scrutiny
Every public sentence on a launch needs an owner, evidence, permitted wording and an archive. Most teams keep messaging in a shared document and a group chat. That is not a control. This is the operating sheet — and the argument for running it as the spine of the campaign.
