The geography field is not a trivia question

Applications ask for target geographies because we will not invent them later. A short, specific answer — “United Kingdom professional, EU professional, no US public” — is a high signal. A long, vague answer — “worldwide community of believers” — is a low one. The scoring is not aesthetic. Named geographies let us apply promotion guardrails. Unnamed ones do not.

The fit check on the homepage asks a harder cousin: do you need RCA Pad to run a public sale, allocate tokens, or custody assets? If yes, stop. That question exists because “global retail” briefs almost always contain a request we will not take. Better to fail in sixty seconds than in week two.

Harbor’s application named Switzerland and the EU, with a launch window beyond 180 days and a budget at the edge of a Sprint. Review, not decline. The geography was nameable; the rest of the file was thin. Moonrise named global retail and asked for allocation. Decline. The geography was the tell, not a detail.
