Named geographies, or you do not have an audience · Close
Smaller is a go-to-market
Founders fear that a named geography is a smaller ambition. It is a more real one. You can win a professional market in the UK and the EU with a testnet, a register, and a partner map. You cannot “win global retail” with a thread and a services firm that will not run a sale. One of these is a plan. The other is a memory of 2017.
Write the matrix. Lock it. Let the register and the roster suffer the consequences. If a later lawful route adds a market, that is a dated change with counsel and a new row. Until then, the adult sentence is: these people, in these places, with these words. Everything else is a crowd you have not earned the right to address.
Sources and boundary
- RCA Pad audience matrix, jurisdiction tree, UK and US guardrails, screening dimensions.
- Composite locks: Vellum — UK and EU professional, no US public. Northline — UK professional, EU professional. Moonrise — global retail, declined.

UK financial promotions and token launches
Content that invites or induces UK consumer investment activity is high-risk. The 2017 habit — a public thread, an incentive, a purchase journey — is not a go-to-market in this jurisdiction. Here is the operating posture we actually run.

Controls
A claims register that can survive scrutiny
Every public sentence on a launch needs an owner, evidence, permitted wording and an archive. Most teams keep messaging in a shared document and a group chat. That is not a control. This is the operating sheet — and the argument for running it as the spine of the campaign.

Proposed Regulation Crypto Assets: what founders should not assume
A proposed US offering framework is drawing real planning energy. The demand is a fact. The rule title, the timetable and the interpretation are not. Treat the attention as a reason to operationalise a launch. Do not treat a comment period as a pathway.
