A creator roster with a takedown clause

Vetted creators, documented disclosure, pre-approval, geographic restrictions, archive and takedown. Anything else is unmanaged promotion with a friendly face.

The Desk · Operating notes, RCA Pad · London

The last cycle taught a generation of founders that distribution is a person with a following. It did not teach them that the person is a channel, the following is a jurisdiction mix, and the post is a communication of the issuer whether or not the general counsel was in the thread. A roster is how you staff that fact. A vibe is how you deny it.

The case · Chapter 01

Unmanaged promotion, even when you like them

A founder sends a voice note. They have been talking to someone with reach. The someone “gets the product.” They will “just do a thread.” There will be a small fee, or tokens, or both. Disclosure will be “obvious.” The audience is “crypto-native.” The founder would like this folded into the Sprint as distribution.

What they have described is unmanaged promotion. The someone is not on a roster. The thread has not been read against a claims register. The audience has not been characterised by geography or sophistication. The disclosure is a hope. The payment, if in tokens, may be a problem of its own. The takedown plan is “we’ll message them.” That is not a plan. That is a social relationship being asked to do regulatory work.

RCA Pad will run creator operations for screened clients. We will not bolt a celebrity onto an empty register and call it go-to-market. The minimum operating standard is written down because memory is not a control: identity, disclosure requirement, pre-approval, prohibited claims, geographic restrictions, payment terms, publication evidence, takedown clause, archive. Anything less is a guest on the brand.

Claim evidence and archived posts are required for every live. Payment does not replace the archive.

Minimum operating standard

The rest of this feature is the roster as an operating object: how a seat is earned, what pre-approval actually looks like, how hold and removed work, and why the best creator plan is sometimes none.
