Chapter 05 of 08
The Offering · Vol. 02 No. 01
Controls · 05
September 2026 · London
An offering claims register: sentences that can survive a later reader · Speakers
Founders, creators, partners, bots: one register, many mouths
If it ran, it had a channel. If it had a channel, it needed a row.
Apply the register to artefacts teams forget are communications: app-store screenshots, Discord onboarding, a Telegram bot, a conference badge QR, a partner’s newsletter, a founder’s personal account, a market-maker’s thread that quotes you. “We only said it in Discord” is not a defence. Discord is a channel with a jurisdiction mix you do not control.
Creators get a brief that is a slice of the register plus prohibited wording plus geo limits plus disclosure plus takedown. Partners who speak get the same. Bots get scripts. If a bot can invent a buy path, unplug the bot.
Speaker matrix
If a speaker cannot be briefed, they cannot speak about the offering.
- Founder
- Highest risk. Interviews pre-cleared. Personal accounts are still the issuer if the audience hears the issuer.
- Operator
- Keeps the sheet. Has the kill switch. Not a second founder in public unless named.
- Creator
- Vetted, contracted, geo-limited, disclosed, archived, takedownable. Or not used.
- Partner
- Logged intro. No “strategic partner” row without evidence.
- Support
- Macros only on offering-adjacent questions. Escalation to the register, not improvisation.
